Anyhow, BEAT THE DEVIL is Digital Playground's newest release. If you're not familiar with Digital Playground, listen to Jesus... this is the shit.

You know those porn movies you used to sneak out of your dad's toolshed and watch while you were home sick from school? All ghetto looking, poorly lit, with terrible music? That was then and this is now. Digital Playground movies don't look anything like porn-as-you-know-it. They're stylish, slick, and higher quality than most of the lo-fi indie films you'll find on the Sundance Channel.

So, yeah, it looks good. But is it hot? You betcha.

BEAT THE DEVIL has a fairly cohesive plot, not that you care--but seriously it's actually not bad. This paraplegic is crutching his way down the block when a prostitute laughs at him. It's the final straw. He sells his soul to the Devil so he'll be a big stud and get laid a lot. And he does. The problem, though, is that long before his deal is done, he's popping viagra like crazy to keep his third leg wooden. He gets pissed at the Devil for taking his soul but not upping his Mojo, so he decides to trick the Devil into re-invigorating his gonads for him. So he challenges the Devil to a fuck-off versus Jesse Jane, a divine sex angel he used to pimp. Yeah. Well, I said the plot was *fairly* cohesive.

"This ain't no auto-erotic asphyxiation, you bitchass Devil!!"

The Devil is played by Evan Stone, who is actually pretty damn funny. Surprisingly so.

But this is Jesse Jane's show all the way. I've seen me some porns, I tell you, and I've never seen a pornstar be such a hardass when riding a cock as humongous as Evan Stone's. Jesse Jane is playing an angel trying to outfuck the Devil, and damn if she doesn't give old Lucifer an honest-to-God good pounding. Her filthy mouth and aggro fucking is enough to make her an official Power Porn Girl.

Like I said, this is not porn-as-you-know-it. This is actually a slick little movie with a lot of really hot sex in it.

Let me reiterate the HOT part. Digital Playground does not fuck around when it comes to casting. Every girl in this show is fuckin SMOKIN'. There are some scenes that resemble an Andrew Blake soft-core fetish show and some scenes that are just hardpound fucking... so it's got something for everyone.

A lot of the staff over at Digital Playground is female, including the company President Samantha Lewis. Their movies seem slick and hot enough for co-ed entertainment. I figured I'd put it to the test and show it to some of my female friends. Even the ones who were disturbed by the idea of checking out porn were really into it when they checked it out. Although it's hardcore, it's stylish enough to not gross anybody out.

That's the thing to keep in mind, however. If you're looking for a really dirty power-porn, this ain't it. This is a slick, sleek, sexy porn... at times softcore, at times stylishly erotic, and at times straight-up asspounding... but always with a soft focus and pretty underwear.

My only real issue here is that the DVD has no special features. The featurette on ISLAND FEVER 2 was probably the best part of the whole DVD--because the Digital Playground girls are actually as charismatic when they're speaking as they are when they're fucking (go figure). So I can't help but be a little pissed at Digital Playground for chintzing on the special features here. But y'know what... when you're main issue is that there's not enough special features: you know you've got a quality porn on your hands (and that's not all you've got on your hands--wash that shit off!).

Not exactly first date material, but you don't have to hide it in the toolshed either: BEAT THE DEVIL is a solid pick for singles as well as couples.

And Jesse Jane is fucking HOT.
