WACO:
THE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT is a documentary detailing the Branch
Davidian Compound and its siege by the Feds. It offers a diametrically
opposed viewpoint to that of the mainstream media. Even those of
you who are always on the side of anybody the government blows up
will be shocked and appalled by the degree of disinformation exposed
in this documentary. Even if only 10% of what the documentary claims
is actually true, it would still be a scathing indictment of just
how fucked our Federal enforcement agencies really are.
Yeah
yeah yeah, I know-you're a blasé been-there-done-that armchair
politico. Listen, I'm a fucking terrorist named Talibano and I'm
telling you this shit will still kick your ass. I'm not to proud
to admit that this shit had me in tears. And it was during the goddamned
Clinton Administration, so it oughta shut up your bleeding heart
lefty bullshit.
The
documentary features a twist so uncanny that it could just be the
metaphor that epitomizes how the media shapes our perception of
events. See, the Compound just happened to have been built on a
geography where the front is completely clear and visible from really
far away, but the back is mostly obscured. So the Feds invited the
media down and just asked them to stay back since there was gunfire.
The media was fine with that because the view seemed free and clear
from their position. And then, according to well-documented evidence,
the Feds orchestrated a masterful bit of chicanery. They attempted
to negotiate at the front of the building, while they launched a
brutal, bloody raid into the Compound from the rear. Of course,
only the failed negotiations were evident to the news cameras.
The
testimony of survivors and the videotape footage shot by the Davidians
during the siege effectively jerk tears from even the most callous
of viewers, but it is the actual hard evidence that really drives
home the weight of the documentary. Most notably, high-tech heat-sensitive
video from the besieging helicopters show both sides of the Compound,
and experts point out the blatantly obvious and horrifying discrepancies
between the Feds claims and the series of events.
Were
the Branch Davidians stockpiling weapons for a bloody coup or were
they just a bunch of harmless zealots living in the middle of bumfuck
Texas? Was Koresh a polygamous child molester or just a failed musician
turned preacher? We'll probably never know for sure (except we are
sure that he was a failed musician... that record is worse than
the Charles Manson's shit). The documentary, however, sure paints
a more likely picture than the mainstream media did in its ever
increasing desire to demonize every poor soul it can sink its teeth
into.
What
it all comes down to is that every American has the right to be
a fucking freak, alone or in a group. In fact, it's pretty thoughtful
of the freaks to move themselves into a compound where we don't
have to be bothered with their weird religious beliefs. It sure
beats the hell out of Krishnas bugging me all the fucking time with
their fucking beads and books.
Anyhow,
go get this and learn yourself something.
